Is This A Teasel?

A few of these plants have appeared in my garden this year and I've left them thinking they are teasels, but now I have my doubts.

Could possibly be Dawn, although not exactly the same variety as mine! But it could, on the other hand be a yellow thistle type weed which I've had growing up from the bird feed spillages! Are there any flower buds on it.If it was aTeasel sown this year, then it shouldn't flower until next year!
By the way, where's your husband gone??? The hammock is empty!

Are the leaves clasping the stem to make a cup, and does the back of the leaf's rib have prickles? If so, it's a teasel, Dipsacum fullonum.

Hi Guys
I'll go out and check it out BigBB. There are buds on the top, I'll take another pic - be right back, thanks by the way.
Paul: Husband at work, lol, he may be tempted to get back in it later.

He will, Dawnsaunt, if it's as hot there as it is here this evening!!

Still very warm Paul, but we've had a couple of showers, enough to wet the hammock!

I wish we could enlarge the pictures on this site. This looks like a teasel to me.Remember that there are several different species.
