Geranium...

Can anyone name this little geranium for me please?...I would like to put it into the ground but would like to know if it will spread a lot...At the moment its in a pot that got broken by the frost...poor wee thing

There are so many varieties of Geranium available, hard to say exactly which one this is. By the look of the leaves, though, you'll probably find it spreads about a foot to 18 inches at most, with a height of probably not more than 8 inches. And if I had to give it a name, I'd say it was probably a Geranium endressi variety

I think it may be Geranium Sanguineum Striatum. I agree with Bamboo about the size. A geranium for the front of the border or a rockery.

Hi Inverglen...I looked up the variety 'Striatum' and it seems really pink (dont care for pale pink flowers)...then i tried just Sanguineum and the picture that came up looks like it...so thank you very much...:>)

I've had this in my garden for about 30yrs. I agree with Bamboo on the size. With mine I split it every few years as it tends to go a bit shabby..... the smaller plants fill out and flower quickly. Don't know its proper name though...only that its a geranium.
