honeysuckle, does anyone know how I should treat it once it has stopped flowering, each year I have just chopped it down, and left it to grow up the next year. this year there were not many flowers and it looks a little raggy

I'd cut it back again. It was a very. Wet beginning to the summer with late sunshine. A lot of plants didn't do brilliantly and honeysuckle does tend to get a bit leggy.
