Identification Needed please. Tree growing in garden in FRANCE. Seeds have single 'nut' inside. Small white flowers in spring. Leaves have serrated edges.

Thanks Catty - I think I managed with a little help from a friend who lives in Scotland to find the answer! It is a "Sorbus torminalis" or Wild Service Tree. The fruit can be used to make 'eau de vie' when ripe - I must tell my friend!!
