Chinese Cucumbers

Hello again I bought a Chinese Cucumber from a car boot sale for next to nothing .. planted it in the poly tunnel now its growing well.. can you eat the fruit as i have been told it is used in Chinese alternate medicine?

Depends exactly what variety it is I guess, but this site: http://www.evergreenseeds.com/chcuhycrwi.html makes them sound just like the Japanese cucumbers which are very good. There are things like the Horny Cucumber which are a bit more of an acquired taste. Just grow them on, see what the fruit is like, and taste it. If it looks like the cucumber on the website above, and tastes ok, then use it.
