Dicentra and Lupin and delphinium Care !
suffolk, United Kingdom
Hello everyone forgive me if this appears twice but I new to this site.
My dicentras have finished flowering and I was wondering if I could cut the foliage back to the ground already or should I wait for the autumn ? This also applies to my lupins and delphiniums. Thanks for you help on this matter

Your delph may re shoot and possibly flower again this year. They will be shorter but a second flush of flowers is a bonus.

If they're looking tatty and shrivelled, then yes, but I wouldn't take them right to the ground, just to about 4 inches up in the case of the delphiniums and lupins, if there's any foliage still green and healthy. I'd guess the Dicentra has all but disappeared anyway by now so you can certainly remove the topgrowth of that.
