black cohosh also called mugwort?

Maine, United States

Greetings,
I've one black cohosh in the north garden. Purple leaves, white flower spikes. Doing well. Is it known as "Mugwort" or am I mixing that up?

On plant Cimicifuga racemosa

Mugwort is Artemisia vulgaris not cimicifuga, so you are mixing up the terms.
And black cohosh is Actaea racemosa or black bugbane. I guess cimicifuga is a synonym and I'm not sure which is the 'correct' term as they keep changing them!

How do I say thanks?
