My Cordyline is too big for the pot, would it be wrong to re-pot in larger container in October?

Well obviously it would have been better to do it in spring or early summer, but I'd do it now if its desperate - a pot bound one means the pot's got more root than compost, and so the plant is more vulnerable to frost damage over winter.
