Solanum Crispum Glasnevin - Brown leaves
United Kingdom
This is the 2nd summer that most of the leaves on our potato plant started wilting about a month ago, and nearly 3/4 of the leaves are now totally brown. There are still some healthy leaves, stems and flowers. We thought it had died totally last year, but it came back to life but for the same thing to happen again. Can anyone explain why?

It might be the weather conditions - it was very wet and cool last year and, despite the heatwave, it's the same now and has been for 3 weeks. Either that or it was in drought during the heatwave and you didn't realise, and that's what you're seeing the results of now. Assuming you can't find any pest or infestation/disease signs anywhere, cut back the dead and keep your fingers crossed for some warm weather soon. This plant likes shelter, as I expect you know, from cooler conditions.
