To move or not to move?

I have a spiraea japonica fire light.my problem is it needs to be moved. will it be ok to move it now?

You'd be better off waiting till late September/October, when the plant is coming up to resting time. If you must do it now, as long as its not been in long, dig it out retaining as much of the rootball as possible - if you break any roots, you must water copiously for the next few weeks (even if it is pouring with rain a lot). If you get it out more or less intact, water thoroughly when you replant it.

Spiraea are easy from cuttings - you might like to take a few as insurance!!

Thank you both for the advice.Sid do I take heel cuttings or what, I can't look at the moment as it's absolutely slinging it down.

Yes, heel cuttings would be good. Strip off bottom leaves, insert in compo and seal in a bag or put in a propagator. Should root within a couple of weeks. Good luck with it!
