I think you may mean Astilbe. If you do then they like sun or partial shade and moist ground. They are easy to grow and are perennial. The clumps need dividing every few years to keep the plants strong and to encourage more flowers. Many GoY's have them in their gardens, just look at their photos to see what a beautiful plant you've got.

Algie, have a look at the label that came with the plant and see what it's name is .... they'll probably be a couple of names on it.
They'll also be some planting advice too that'll give you a bit of a guide.
As Mookins said there are members on here who've posted pictures of theirs also, you could google the names you've found on that label and see what comes up there too.
I posted a pic of one earlier !
Mine's the one that likes dry soil.

You have chosen a most beautiful plant. It just so happens astilbes are my favorite plants. I have a huge bed of just them & they bloom at various times. I plant them in full sun but that is because I live in Alaska. I know that in the deep south they are planted I believe mainly in the shade. Perennials

Did you mean astilbe? these are very beautiful. they are perrenial plants that like full to part shade and a bit of morning sun. Very good close to a pond as they like moist soil but with good drainage
