onopordum scotch thistle

I submitted a question not sure if it went through, but it was about the scotch thistle mine had a brown centre, thought it was dying but it now has purple strands, also where should it be planted and when can it be moved, if this is the 2nd time for my question sorry.

They are deep rooted.
I thought they were bienniel and therefore didn't come back after flowering which mine seem to do.
So i sow the seeds either now or in spring.

I remember your original question and picture - it looked like a papery, light brown, fat bud on the top of thistle like stems. Onopordum likes moist, rich soil in part sun, part shade - if you want to move it from its present position, wait till Autumn, after its finished flowering
