I planted two last year.Neither have flowered.Do I prune now or leave the shoots till next year?

Philadelphus flower on wood made the previous year. Leave this year's growth intact and it should carry the flowers next year. Pruning can then be done immediately after flowering

Mine flowered the year I moved in. My mum thought it could do with a trim and it basically got knocked back for a year.
Follow Andrews advice and you wont go far wrong.
