gaynors skimmea is flowering again she says it should only be budding now for next year dont know its name but it is very stongly scented will it spoil for next season please//this year the flowers were knocked off with lots of heavy rain

I'd take a bet its Skimmia fragrans - I've just had one delivered to plant out, and its in full flower too. It's come all the way from Stoke on Trent, so I've no idea whether low uv levels and general weather conditions up there have contributed to early flowering or not. It's meant to flower in very early spring or late winter...

It must be the weather, they are all confused, I have both summer and winter jasmine in flower, it will all come right when the weather goes back to normal, if ever!!
