Hi it's me again! Having completely refurbished our pond recently the fresh clear water is now clearish but green, could it be the colourant in the new feed we're giving them? and any suggestions on how to clear it.thanks again,masie

Someone suggested to me adding algae eating snails which would probably do a good job....

Any food in a pond will cause greening, it should not be necessary. Put in lots of oxygenating weed.

when i said food i meant fish food and it is essential in my over stocked pond.

no dont worry, this is norml after a total clean. it is an algal bloom and if you can be patient it will clear in time. or you could put barley straw in, so many people swear by it. I' ve never used it myself. the fish food shouldnt make a difference unless you are over feeding. I was always told that if the food hasnt been eaten in 10mins to scoop it off.
