hi can anyone help i have an acer japanese maple was doing well but now the leaves are starting to fall off.

mine have been a beautiful red this year. they are as Andy said decidious and should re-leaf again in spring.

It's what they're supposed to do, they are decidious. Hopefully the leaves will produce some nice colours.
New leaves will appear in spring
