Hi .
I have been growing fuchias for a number of years but always took my cuttings in the spring,can i take successfull cuttings now .

I usually take mine about July or August,as the stems start getting woody..but I took some more last week,as I managed to find some semi ripe shoots..and they seem ok so far,Barry...worth a try anyway..

Perhaps try them in water rather than compost? I agree they are very slow at this time of year but you have nothing to lose by trying.

I also take my cuttings as soon as they shoot in the spring, I think you can take cuttings but they would take ages to root and may rot off, someone more clever than me may be able to advise
