Ist it ok to plant in the evening?

I have a lot of planting to do and the only time I can count on a good couple of hours peace to do it is when the kids have gone to bed at 7pm. Do the plants need a lot of sunlight straight after being planted or can I get away with this?

As said above it can be the best time of day to plant, but not if your plants are dry. In your part of the country a bark area would be great for the kids to play on. You have to work on the backfill area.

Planting out in the evening is highly recommended just make sure you water the plants in well

Some times it's the best time to plant they get settled in at night then thev'e got the sunshine next day hopefully.Don't forget to give them a drink before bed.
