I have just received my packs of lilly of the valley. Please could anyone tell me how to plant them out in pots for my cousins and I.
AS you probably know they have arrived as dry roots with a pip and small shoots
My Cousins and I want to grow them to remember their Mother and My Aunt.
I want to plant them in pots for each of us, and also to plant some where the the ashes of my my Aunty Joyce are spread.
When can I plant into pots and what soil and drainage would I need? Also where should I keep the pots over Winter.
Any advice would be welcome Thank you Minplant

When you do plant them out they prefer a shady spot. Mine are happy in a north facing draughty corner!

The pips should be planted into a multipurpose compost to a depth of about 1/2 inch. Keep the pots in a sheltered position over winter and keep the compost moist but not too wet. They should start to sprout in spring.
