Just thought this might amuse people! Nobody could help with my pear problem!

United Kingdom

We could not understand what was happening to our strawberries. They were disappearing - not birds. Well my daughter discovered our labrador with his mouth blissfullly closed over a bunch of green strawberries! Now he has taken to scrumping tomatoes - nice juicy red ones of course!

Very good at least it's getting the 5 a day ha ha . It's my grandaughter that scrumps our toms.

Yes! We initially thought it was the grandchildren until my daughter caught him out! He does have a very shiney black coat!

A tomato a day keeps the Vet away?

Lovely little anecdote; I couldn't help but chuckle. It's things like this that reinforce the rule that you should always have your camera in your pocket. A pic of a Lab. with a face-full of strawbs. would have been a classic! LoL

We saw one of the village dogs happily playing with something then taking a large bite and chomping away - I shivered, wondering what poor little animal had given up its life for a mere mouthful - then I spotted what it was - a fallen slightly unripe nectarine!
