Why are my frangipani cuttings going soggy

The branches of my frangipani cuttings are going soggy.
All looked healthy and flowered and had full leave in summer. Not just a couple of branches but all
Some in large pots some in the ground.

Previous question
Arabella - have you been watering them? I hope not. They love to completely dry out, so all the leaves drop from them, which is where they get their nickname: Dead Man's Fingers.
It's their sap that prevents successful growth.
The soggy stems will NOT recover - remove, and then DO NOT WATER.
