Does anyone recognise this plant/weed?

United Kingdom
Low spreading, delicate leaves, spire shaped bright yellow flower head. Only one at the moment, dosn't seem invasive.

This is Tall Melilot (melilotus altissima) introduced to Britain from the continent in the 16th century. Herbalists used it to make ointments and poultices to reduce swellings, blisters and bruises. Melilot is a rich source of wild honey, and is commonly pollinated by large insects such as hoverflies and bees.

Thank you Drc726 and Big bumblebee. I will find out more about this plant. I am excited to think it may be something used by herbalists. :)

I've had a very very close look at this plant ID, and I think it IS Tall Melilot. It is a tiny plant and I wasn't sure, kept going in and out the backdoor to double check. So thank you both for your answers. :)

I think this is a type of Birds Foot. It is pretty flowering weed and not a major problem, likes to grow with clovers.
