No, September is a good time, just about the last occasion when you can before next spring. Keep a check on the local weather forecast, sow when the conditions look as if they're going t be right - what you want is warmish, dampish weather - not torrential rain or storms, nor a very dry spell, following sowing, so you can do it when its dry and fine, with a bit of moisture to follow within a day or three.
