I have a garden vaccum. Would it be advisable to put the mashed up leaves from it onto the garden as a mulch

Better to store them for a year or so when they will have become leaf mould. Either punch some holes in a black plastic bin bag and fill up and tie neck with string or use a nylon sack - air needs to be able to get to the leaves as they rot. We've got one of those huge square builders merchants bags - the kind they deliver gravel in - and this is filled up and left open at the top with some mesh on it too keep the leave from blowing away.
