Autumn/Winter colour

fluff

I want to clear out a few pots & planters of their finished summer flowers & have a bit of colour as the year starts to head at an alarming rate towards Christmas!
Can anyone suggest some ideas?

Time to get planting some winter violas and pansies I guess. Great for baskets.

Yes I had those in mind as the violas I had this summer flowered for soooo long...they were wonderful! Geraniums too?

Cyclamen are lovely, Fluff, and to add a bit of height, try a little conifer or baby Euonymus. Garden Centres often sell packs of plants that 'go' together, as well. I had a couple of these last year - there were some co-ordinating bulbs in the pack, too.

This year, to make a change, I'm planting Heucheras with violas round them! I've popped a few Scillas and Iris reticulata in as well.

Thanks Spritz...that all sounds lovely.

How do I say thanks?
