your outbox will go down as various quextions blogs are wiped off and people leave. so one day you may have 252 commentas you have made the next you may only have 246.

as for your inbox I presume this is the same havent actually noticed min going down

Thats why I really wanted to know Mookins, 'cos some are just a single adjective so not really useful, but some are really helpful and it would be great to keep them indefinitely. Also need to know who I have promised seed to etc so don't want them wiped off by...whoever. Perhaps it could be arranged,somehow that we could sort of 'favourite' answers if you see what I mean, perhaps even those to other people that give good advice. I know, better still, the moderators? of Goy could put them in a book which would be cheap to all Goyers!!! problem solved:-) Perhaps it's just that we don't know how to use the site properly yet:-)

I hope most people don't! I always look at them to gague what the person is like. I like to keep mine to occasionally refer back to, although I'm an infrequent 'user' so it's not a problem. You can delete individual comments you have made if you wish.

Alison, I come up with some great ideas.... Doh! By removing comments, I suppose they would be removed from everyones site :-( we would look at our cherished pictures and blogs and see.........nothing, no comments. Maybe no-one would 'like' them even. That's the problem with me , I dont think things through. It's a good job people like me don't run the country :-)

You don't have the monopoly on "Doh" moments! If all your comments were filling up your computer's memory it might be a problem, but so long as GOY doesn't mind, why should you?

Looking at homepages of people who have left the site,only their outbox remains.As you say their comments to other members cannot be deleted as they now belong to someone elses homepage.
I'm afraid it looks like you have to trawl down your outbox to see who you promised seeds to,either that or keep a separate notebook with details. :)
