i have a sambus,nigra blacklace.it is planted in a sunny/shady spot.it has been there for two years,the problem is the leaves have been eaten a lot.to make it more shrub like when do i have to prune it

Sambucus can be pruned in two ways, depending on whether you want the flowers or not. Prune in winter if you don't and after flowering if you do.
