I,m having a go at citrus trees for the first time.....lemons.....we stood them outside during the summer only putting them back inside berfore the first frosts. They were much happier outside, inside we lost a few leaves which was worrying, even though they were misted regularly.....its a bit of a learning curve........

I was looking at the feeding, they seem to need a different feed winter and summer,
also some of the leaves were a bit yellow so they got a dose of epsom salts......

Have you thought of a dwarf peach, we did quite well at the other house with one.....you need a paintbrush and pretend to be a bee to pollinate them, and prune carefully so that the tunnel isn't punctured. The dreaded peach leaf curl didn't affect it bybeing inside either.

If you do that I wonder if you could train it as an espalier, then it wouldn't grow too high

good thinking could do that on one side and it wouldnt shade out other bed to much if any

Previous question
If you have a heater, and can maintain a minimum winter temperature of 37-41 deg f, then you should be able to grow oranges and lemons, but it may be difficult in a polytunnel to maintain these temps, Derek.
