pods on leaves

there is something growing on my tree leaves, they are pinkish in color, cashew shaped and stand straight up off of the leaves is this some sort of insect pod?

thank you, they are not oak trees but I did view some images of gall and they do look like that.

Willow trees have a gall like this.

This could be some sort of gall I don't know how to get rid of it though. Are these Oak trees. Maybe you could search on oak gall and find some answers.
