Cutting the grass in my wild garden
By Withypool

When should I cut the grass down. It is just part of an ordinary lawn that I have let grow. I think I should trim it at some point, but don't know when. I would appreciate some help please.
I live in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Our entire garden is surrounded by a beech hedge

Do you plant any wild flowers in it? That would be lovely and there are now packets of wildflower seeds for this. If you did then I understand you have to wait to cut it until all the seeds have dropped.

I'd give it a cut now before winter sets in and then let grow again in the spring
