Still need to know the height of the tree (roughly) and whether it has any thorns anywhere, no matter how few

What colour is the bark of the trunk, does it have one single trunk, does it lean at all - a pic of the whole thing would be good too

The leaves look very large. I agree with Bamboo though it could be Sorbus 'John Mitchell'

Checked the leaf veination and I now agree with S. aria :-)

That looks like Sorbus Thibetica John Mitchell - but it also looks like something else I've seen - check it against a photo (of Sorbus Thibetica) at the RHS site.

hi hugo66 looked at sorbus latifolius yesterday and the leaves looked different but check it again and i gree it does look the same so now i dont no if it is sorbus latifolius or sorbus aria so many thanks i just have to find out which one it is
