I have a thunbergia Alta panted Sept 09 growing on a north facing trellis in good loam it is still flowering and growing vigourously - will it die back or keep growing? should I prune it? should it be protected before deep frosts and snow?

This plant is usually grown as an annual in this country - it is a perennial really, but tends not to survive our winters too well, and that's why we treat it as an annual. You can leave it in situ, don't cut it back, protect the base with fleece, and it might survive, you never know.
