i have got drawf conifers in my garden but they are now 6ft tall .when and how is the best time to prune them

Most conifers do not respond well to pruning, so it depends on what they are whether you can cut them back or not. Any idea what they are? Or can you post a photo of them for ID purposes?

Are you sure they are dwarf conifers must have taken many years to get to 6ft? How much do you want to prune them? and what type are they? Because depending on what they are you may not be happy with the results? Need more info please.
