Do you cut back Bergenia Cordifolia in the Autumn

On plant Bergenia cordifolia

Answers

No - all that's needed sometimes is to pull or cut off the dead leaves from underneath, where they are usually to be found. I also cut out any dead flower stems from the base whenever one has finished flowering. This is done throughout the year - not only in autumn!

The evergreen leaves can turn red in the winter on some cultivars, so they are a real asset in the winter months!
