I've been racking my brains over this - and I think it might be Lisianthus. Type it into the 'search' box top right, and click on the first entry. That should tell you if I'm right.

I think you are right Spritz. They have been developed extensively in Japan and are now one of the worlds top cut flowers. They last so well in water, at least a month if not longer.

I tried to grow some last year - not very satisfactorily, sadly. Probably due the very wet summer, I think.
