I have just bought a beautiful large head (pom-pom?) chrysanthemum from a supermarket. It is in bloom at the moment but I would love to try and plant/grow it in my garden. Would I overwinter it inside. Do I need to propogate? it for next year

when it has finished flowering inside, move it to a cool frost free spot greenhouse,conservatory/cold frame. come the spring repot it. you will probably find it is several plants. one plant bit per pot. late spring early summer plant out into final position in the garden.
the flowers might be smaller but they will be the same colour; though the plant maybe taller about 2-3f.t.
i did this with a pot plant and i have 3 good plants this year. i plan to do it with this years house plant which is an unusually pinky/mauve.
and welcome to GoY too.
