Who has Virginia Sweetspire and when grown in the shade how great does it do? Is it moderately fast growing and good looking? I live in Northern Michigan in the woods.

Oooh!! That's the shrub I planted a couple of weeks ago, Bamboo - mine is called 'Little Henry' and its autumn leaf colour is wonderful.
I have it planted facing east - so it gets the sun in the morning. I can't tell you any more yet, 'guest', except that I fell for it as soon as I saw it!

Its naturalised in parts of the States, apparently, Spritz, particularly near river beds, apparently.

I am sorry - I don't know this plant under this common name. I'd need its latin name to know, or to answer you. Maybe one of our USA members will recognise the name.
