yes thats a point jacque, i have the cutting my neighbour just brought in,, shall i just dip in rooting gel and hope for the best?
25 Nov, 2009
Sorry San i cant help u out with that Question :(
25 Nov, 2009
ive snipped a few bits off the cutting and dipped in rooting gel, also the main piece to, so out of 3 i may get one, fingers crossed jacque ;o) worth a try

yes push the stems into good compost . I would trim them to about 2-4" long, remove the leaves upto the last 4/6 leaves. a bit of gentle bottom heat would help too. The rooting compound shoud help. I reckon 2 out of 3 will take. just be patient. this is how i got my ceanothus :o)
25 Nov, 2009
thankyou sea.. i will put them somewhere a bit warmer than the window ledge then,;o))
25 Nov, 2009
oh window will be fine. I meant warmer than an unheated greehouse / coldframe.
put the pot in a plastic bag to help with humidity.

hi sea ive cut a coke bottle in half as a dome over it, does that sound ok? and window ledge it is lol
25 Nov, 2009
that is a super way of doing it. I do that too. I use both halves . the top one with the cap can be opened if it gets too humid. Also have used them in the garden as a cloche too.
25 Nov, 2009
thanx sea,, will go rescue the top bit out of the bin now lol didnt think about that if gets to humid ;o))
