Each year, my Gypsophila Paniculata grows into a healthy bush BUT instead of producing the masses of double flowers, all I get is a huge 'mist' of tiny white undeveloped flower specs. I have tried liming the soil and the location is sunny and warm.
What can I do to get it to produce the double white flowers like those you see in Florists shops?

On plant Gypsophila paniculata

I suspect you have a basic species form The florist ones may be a named variety with bigger blooms. My 'bog' standard one only has little flowers too.
Try feeding the plant with something like grow more but i dont think it will make much difference. an alternative is to trim some of the developing buds out. fiddly but it might just work.
