Epipactis Gigantea.....I have obtained some roots of this orchid, but i am at a loss as to what to do now....any help would be greatly appreciated...

Can you see a 'growing point' on each root? I think that should be just at the surface or maybe just covered, so it doesn't get frosted.

My RHS book says it's hardy, and likes fertile, humus rich, moist but well-drained soil in part or full shade. It should spread if it likes its position!
Why not pot the roots up, put them in a coldframe for the winter and plant them out in the spring. I suppose they could also go straight in the ground, if it's not frozen, but I think I'd be cautious!
