I'm sorry Guest are you asking about party walls? Leylandii Trees or what? Any tree less than a metre away from a house is likely to affect said house, including the chimney pot. Could you join GoY and explain a little more please.

A party wall is usually at 6ft. up to 12ft. from the house. Often continued down your side of the garden. The cheaper option is a fence.

Your question is lacking in information and difficult to understand. You don't state where the party wall or hedge is to be planted, whether it is legally your boundary or anything like that.

A wall is only considered to be a party wall if it connects both properties. ie: the wall that separates two halves of a semi-detached property. A garden wall can be a maximum of 1.8 metres or six feet high from the rear boundary up to the front line of the property and then 1.2m or 4 feet to the front boundary. The same goes for fencing. Existing hedges should be kept to a similar height. Your best bet is to contact your local authority for confirmation.
