I've just googled this plant and apparently it is a hybrid between S. flava and S. purpurea (both of which I am growing). S. purpurea is hardy, but S. flava is not fully hardy. I would think your plant will be ok in an unheated greenhouse for the winter, but a little extra protection might be wise if temps fall very low. I think it will be ok tho.

Spritz - I believe they need a reasonably cold period in the winter so that they can go dormant - they are deciduous and the pitchurs will die off in the winter and regrow in the spring, a bit bigger than before. I think too much heat in the winter could be detrimental....

I bow to your superior knowledge, Sid! :-))))
What sort of temperatures, though - just to assist our 'guest'?

Straighten yourself up there! All my knowledge is second hand and comes from GoY members that DO know what they're talking about! lol I started growing Sarracenias just last year and picked the brains of Sarraceniac and Flyplantsman A LOT! They are the ones with the superior knowledge Barbara! ;-)
I think the plant will be ok down to a few degrees below zero for a short time - I think it will be ok in Kent. I don't know what the lowest temp is that it will withstand tho.

hi ladies. i have never had much luck with these myself... but i think you would need to keep frost free.... i say that because my sorry excuse for a greenhouse sometimes gets more frost inside than outside :-(

I believe that these plants would need some heat in the winter, so a cold greenhouse wouldn't suit them.
