I planted up one or two bowls of Hyacinth bulbs back in early October. I gave some away and kept one bowls myself. Mine have grown stunted and not at all nice, whereas those I gave away have grown wonderfully. What did I do wrong? I kept them in the garage until the green growth showed (this is when I gave them out) and then brought them into the house and put them in the light, but not direct sun.

Thanks Seaburngirl. The flower buds began to show, but then started to open before fully formed. The radiator in the picture wasn't on.

perhaps the watering was too erractic waddy or the house too warm.
Have the flower buds shown and started to open. ideally you want the leaves to stay quite short until the flowers are finished. can you post a photo so we can see what the problem might be.
