Last year my hubby grew some potatoes in a plastic container, one of those which comes in sections and was very disappointed with the yield. They were earlies and he followed instructions to the letter. The tops grew huge and once the flowers formed he fed them, again according to instructions on the feed. He started off with 5 seed potatoes, but we only got about 3 or 4 meals from them (two of us). Any ideas for a better crop?

Last year we grew some potatoes in bags and the same variety in the ground. We also followed instructions, including those from GoY for lots of water, and were also very disapointed. The ones in the ground produced about about four times the quantity of those in the bags. We won't be repeating the bags this year.
