Winter Aconite.
I understand this is supposed to flower Feb/Mar, should I be seeing anything above the surface yet, many of my other bulbs are making themselves known. Also should these be planted 'in the green', I bought dry bulbs/more like pips in the autumn and soaked them for 24 hrs first.

I don't have much success with these, but definitely plant them in the green - they're like snowdrops and bluebells in that. I shall keep trying to get them established - see you at the GC next month! LOL.

I went to buy some last autumn and the garden centre said they had none as they only sold them in the green - because of the high failure rate otherwise.

mine are not showing yet despite the evoidenc eof other bulbs. this is norma,l they tend to put the flower up first then the leaves. They are better planted in the green. I have had very little success with the dry corms, but you may be luckier than me. certainly soaking them was the best course of action.
