Totally different habbit and size leaf to a Syngonium Hywel...they tend to be more creeping or trailing like Epipremnum (formally Scindapsus or Devils Ivy) I can see where you're coming from though.

Could be a Caladium although the leaves look very much like the shape of an Alocasia...but ive not seen them with that patterning. Caladiums leaves tend to be like tissue paper whereas Alocasia are thick and fleshy.
