nothing to lose. I have many started off in pots waiting to go in the ground. but if like Owd you have just bought them get them in the ground as soon as you can. they may be a little late in flowering but worth a try.

Over here they have to be planted in the fall, might have something to do with them being cold first? check this out

I would put them in pots or raised beds so that the soil is as warm as can be during the day but still outside. Make sure to keep the soil from drying out (spring can be very dry).

should be a colourful display Owd. And if a few fail then still a bargain. you can then plant them out properly in Nov. :o)

Since the whole lot cost £10 and they were all in good condition I am quite pleased.
The only way we ever get to see Crocus in flower is to grow them like this in pots. I plant them out after and the mice eat the lot.
