Should I remove moss growing in the flower beds? Just had a wander around the garden and noticed a fair amount of moss growing in the shadier areas. Should I remove it? , will it prevent seedlings and shoots coming up? It's in an area where lots of salvia and verbena tends to self seed.

Moss will prevent seedlings coming up and also stop the rain getting into the soil as easily. I would remove it but do it gently. If you can manage to just scrape it off the surface, so much the better.
