can you reccomend some ground cove plants for a shady area mainly underneath holly trees?

there are several you could try:
Pachysandra, [an all green and a variegated one] Pachyphragma both species are evergreen with white flowers.
Vinca [periwinkles] in a variety of flower colours from white, blue and purple and variegated leaves in a couple of sizes.
I have all of these growing under a large yew and a beech hedge.
Other good ground cover plants in my experience include ajuga, mitella and lamium.
welcome to GoY too.

Euphorbia robbiae will grow in dense dry shade and spreads well after its established.
