Dead head before they set seed is the only way. it will also encourage extra flowers to be produced.

I think the only way to prevent the wild flowers spreading into your lawn would be to cut the flowers off before they set seeds. I'm afraid there's no way of preventing seeds spreading where they will. The wind will blow them or birds will carry them. There's nothing you can do to stop that happening. It's nature.
